I’m going to start this post off in the wee hours of the morning. From Nashville onto DC, we didn’t get a hotel for the night, so we were just driving straight through.
It was probably around 3am or so, when we decided to reroute and go straight to NYC instead. The only thing we really wanted to do in DC was see the Mall and the White House. Another reason why we rerouted was because I got a notification from some blogs I follow that Harry Styles was in NYC at that very moment. So we decided to head there and hopefully see if we could spot him. By the time we got to NYC, he was already getting on a plane to Brussels, where One Direction is playing a show.
Today started off really well. We got a really good nights sleep. The hotel that we stayed at Mufreesboro had really comfortable beds. We wanted to wake up around 8 to get the free breakfast that was offered, but Morgan and I overslept. Haley woke up around 8:50am and rushed to go grab us some, which was really sweet of her.
After eating and getting ready, we checked out of the hotel and were on our way to Nashville. It was only 30 minutes away, so it was a short drive.
Once we got to Nashville, we realized that there was a lot more people than there should’ve been on a weekday. Turns out that we stumbled upon the CMA Music Festival. I don’t know how we missed that in our research, but it was a welcome surprise.
It’s been quite a while, huh? Life has been rough the last couple of months. College was winding down and I had a ton of projects and finals to take. Now that it’s summer, I should hopefully have some more time to focus on this blog. I will be traveling quite a lot this summer, so for my first post back, we have a little update from my current road trip. We are heading to Maine for a week and stopping in a few cities to be tourists and see more of the states that we pass through. Let’s get started, shall we?
I had the opportunity to cover the VerseCity and Cher Lloyd concert at Frontier Fiesta on March 27th. It was the first time I shot in a stadium and I really enjoyed it. The lighting was incredible also. Here’s some of my favorite shots from the show.

It’s the middle of February… Man, time is really flying by. I wanted to take this time to let y’all know that I was chosen as Texas Women Bloggers‘ Blogger of the Month for February! I am so honored, as I haven’t been a part of the network for very long.
I’ve decided to begin new little series on this blog, where I take you with me around where I live or trips I go on. It’s similar to the vlogs that I’ve done in the past, but this is all with photos.
Two weeks ago, I went with three of my friends (Haley, Alexis, and Morgan) to Saint Jo, Texas. We’ve actually been up there before, but this time I brought along my new camera and spent a lot of time taking photos. It was nice to be able to get away from the city and just hang out with my friends.
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to shoot my first Senior photo session with my best friend, Morgan. We went to Discovery Green in Houston and plan to go out again sometime in March or April, when it isn’t so cold, for another session. I really like how some of these turned out. I can’t wait for the next one. 😉
Well, it’s been quite a while, hasn’t it? Last month was extremely stressful. I was going to do Blogmas, but that was a fail after the first week… Then I had hoped to get a couple of posts in before Christmas, but that also failed considering I got the flu and mild bronchitis, on top of my birthday, Christmas gift making/wrapping, and a family Christmas party. And now it’s 2015, time has really flown by.
