Arcade Restaurant | Memphis Road Trip

March 23, 2016

If you know me at all, you know that I frequently go on road trips. Well recently, my friends and I decided to take a road trip to Memphis, Tennessee for the day during Spring Break. Is that nuts? Probably. Did we have fun? YES.

We left Monday night/Tuesday morning around midnight and it took us about ten hours to get there. The first stop was a slightly sketchy truck stop in West Memphis. Turns out West Memphis isn’t even in Tennessee, lol. After changing and freshening up, we drove to the Arcade, which is a really cool diner style restaurant.

Going into the restaurant, there’s a really cool vibe. There’s a bar in the back that people can sit at, booths along the wall, and a back room for larger parties. All along the walls, there was an assortment of black and white photos, colorful flyers, and cool vintage decor.

Since we had a party of five people, we were seated in the back. The menu had anything you could want to order, there were breakfast foods, burgers, salads, and standard diner food. I ordered the #3, which is French toast, two eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon. We were all starving from the long drive and it was nice to be able to sit down and eat a hot meal before we started exploring the city. I definitely recommend going to Arcade if you are ever in the Memphis area.

In the comments below, let me know what your favorite city to visit is!

Sincerely, B
