I’m back with another Happy Friday! These are really fun to do and help me stay happy and focus on the good things in my life, rather than focus on the bad parts.

So these last couple of weeks have been pretty hectic, but really awesome as well. First things first…

1. I am now the Assistant Photo Editor for The Cougar. I am so excited for this opportunity. Last semester I was just a photographer on staff, but now I’m assisting the photo editor. I am stoked to learn even more about photojournalism and becoming more ingrained into the editorial board.

2. Another great thing that has happened this week, is that I have finally figured out what to do for my final project for my video production class. I’m going to create a music video for the song that my friends in Dear You wrote for me. It’s called ‘Small Talk’ and it’s a very personal song. It’s about my struggle with my parent’s divorce. I’m really excited about being able to put the visual to the song in hopes that it would help someone else in the future.

3. I guess this could be considered a good thing, but I signed another year lease with my apartment complex. Now that I know that I will be staying there for another year or two, I am going to redecorate and actually print out/hang up some of my photos. I’ve been putting it off as I was sure I would be moving away pretty soon and it’d be a waste of time. I’m going to be looking on Pinterest for more ideas, so if y’all have any ideas, be sure to leave a comment below. I could use all the help I can get.

4. My nieces turned 6 and 4! We had a birthday party for them on the 5th of this month that was a blast. There was a clown there that did face painting on the kids. My nieces got their faces painted like a cat, it was adorable. 

5. And lastly, I revamped my website! I am in love with how it looks and I am so happy with it. If y’all have any suggestions on how to make it even better or easier to navigate, let me know in the comments below. I’m always open to new ideas and suggestions.

I hope everyone had a lovely week and is ready for the weekend. I’ll just be doing homework and studying for my first tests of the semester. Always remember to be kind and keep a smile on your face.
