About Me
Hello and welcome to my little slice of the internet! I am a Houston, TX-based music + portrait photographer and UX designer. I am a lover of Dr. Pepper Zero, pop culture, Christmas lights, and cross-country road trips. I first picked up my dad’s point-and-shoot camera back in 2004, where I would take photos of the trees surrounding my grandparent’s property and dabbled in self-portraits. This would launch my love for photography, where I would borrow my dad’s Sony a100 and then purchase my very own Canon 70D in 2014. I have worked with a variety of music sites and magazines and currently work as the Co-Owner + Lead Photographer for The Honey POP.
Design is an old love of mine that I never thought I could actually pursue as I cannot draw very well. I have always been creative and interested in content design and finding out about UX/UI has changed my life. From all the way back in grade 4 when we wrote a letter to our high school self and I told myself I would be working as a Graphic Designer one day, to taking a Graphic Design class during my stint in college, I knew one day I would circle back to design.
I might’ve veered off the design path for a bit by working in customer service and the hospitality industry, but I believe that only helps me in knowing what the user wants. I had to learn to become adaptable in my Task Force General Manager job and that helps me pivot and take criticism in my design work.
